Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the US. One in four people are afflicted with some form of the disease, which amounts to roughly 61 million Americans. CVD is attributed to 42% of all deaths, taking almost 1 million lives each year. Common, yet serious, conditions that fall under the CVD umbrella are: atherosclerosis, angina, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart attack, heart failure, stroke and arrhythmia. If cardiovascular conditions are detected early on, the odds of combating their effects and possibly reversing them altogether can be increased significantly. Understanding Cardiovascular Disease Cardiovascular Disease encompasses all diseases related to the cardiovascular system, including dysfunctional conditions of the heart, arteries and veins that supply oxygen to vital life-sustaining areas of the body such as the brain, the heart itself and other vital organs. Atherosclerosis Atherosclerosis is the most common of the cardiovascular conditions and lies at the root of most of the major diseases affiliated with the heart. Atherosclerosis is the hardening and narrowing of the arteries caused by the slow buildup of plaque on the inside walls of the arteries. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), occurs when atherosclerosis results in a partial or total blockage to the coronary arteries, which supply blood to the muscles of the heart. CAD is the most common underlying cause of heart attack. Angina is the medical term used to describe chest pain or discomfort that occurs when the heart muscle does not get enough blood. Usually the pain starts in the chest behind the breastbone but may also occur in the arms, shoulders, neck, jaw, throat, stomach or back. Angina can be a sign of an impending heart attack. Heart attacks occur when a clot in the coronary artery blocks the supply of blood and oxygen to an area of heart muscle. Often, the blockage leads to cardiac arrhythmia, an abnormally high or abnormally low heart rate that causes a severe decrease in the pumping function of the heart and may bring about sudden death. A Stroke is caused by an inadequate oxygen flow to the brain. Strokes that don’t result in death can be mild, known as Transient Ischemic Attacks (TIA), or they can be severely damaging to the brain, causing paralysis and cognitive malfunction. Heart Failure Heart failure usually develops slowly, often over years. Some people may not become aware of their condition until symptoms appear years after their heart began its decline. Symptoms of heart failure include shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, swelling of the ankles and feet, and weight gain due to water retention. Cardiovascular Disease Risk Factors With so many people affected by cardiovascular disease, it is important to be familiar with the associated risk factors. High Cholesterol- Cholesterol is an important factor in brain function, and is the structural material from which the hormones progesterone, testosterone, estrogen, DHEA and cortisol are made. Proper ranges of cholesterol are important to the prevention of cardiovascular disease. Total blood cholesterol above 200, LDL cholesterol above 130, HDL cholesterol below 35 and lipoprotein levels greater than 30 are all indicators of problematic cholesterol. High Blood Pressure- High blood pressure, or Hypertension, often results from excess fat or plaque buildup because of the extra effort it takes to circulate the blood. Blood pressure levels at or below 120/80 are considered to be within the normal range. 140/90 or higher is considered to be within the high range. Blood pressure levels ranging from between 120-139/80-89 fall within the range of pre-hypertension, which means that you are more likely to develop high blood pressure unless you take action immediately to prevent it. Diet- A healthy diet is essential. You should eat five to seven fruits and vegetables a day, whole grains, a handful of nuts, and low-fat meats, chicken and fish cooked in olive oil or other excellent tasty oils. Avoid sugars and processed foods. Diabetes- Persons with diabetes lack the necessary hormone, insulin, to break down digested sugars, or are resistant to its effects. As a result, a person with diabetes is at the same level of risk for having a heart attack as a person who has had a prior heart attack. Stress- When the body is consistently under a lot of stress, it releases too much of the hormone cortisol. This puts an extra strain on the heart as the blood pressure rises and the body retains too many excess fluids. Lack of Exercise- Fall in love with exercise! The heart is like all other muscles in the body. In order to stay in good shape and function properly, it needs to be exercised. Exercise will help control other risk factors such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes and stress management. Diagnosing Cardiovascular Disease Until recently, the ability to detect heart related conditions was limited and the ability to detect early onset was virtually impossible without the use of expensive and potentially dangerous procedures. Due to the advancement of technology and decades of valuable research, a new diagnostic machine, the CardioSpec, has recently been made available to physicians to detect cardiovascular disease with greater accuracy and specificity in less than 2 minutes and without the need for invasive procedures. The CardioSpec is highly effective in diagnosing seven types of cardiovascular disease - coronary artery disease, heart attack, left ventricular dysfunction, left ventricular enlargement, conduction abnormalities, arrhythmia, and pulmonary heart disease - with more than a 90% accuracy rate. The diagnostic system works by evaluating the function of the heart directly, detecting subtle changes in the hearts function or injuries caused by obstruction of small coronary arteries, which cannot be detected by catheterization or angiography. Early detection of cardiovascular disease could mean the difference between life and death. If you have any of the risk factors associated with CVD, see your physician as soon as possible. After a thorough evaluation, your physician can determine if you have CVD and begin to develop a treatment plan that works for you. CVD does not have to be a life sentence and with some significant lifestyle changes, you can be on the road to recovery. But the first step is ACTION. Showing that what's good for your heart is good for your sex life, researchers have found that regular, moderate exercise may prevent impotence. In a large, long-term study, researchers found that men who burned at least 200 calories a day through exercise were less likely than inactive men to become impotent. This amounts to simply ``exercising off a soda'' every day, said Dr. Irwin Goldstein, from Boston University School of Medicine. Men can do that with a brisk, 2-mile walk, he told Reuters Health in an interview. Over about 9 years, Goldstein and his colleagues followed nearly 600 men who initially had no problems with impotence. The researchers focused on lifestyle factors believed to contribute to impotence--smoking, heavy drinking, inactivity, and obesity. They found that men who had been active to begin with and those who took up exercise during the study were at lower risk for impotence. Goldstein said the findings, published in the August issue of Urology, could have a ``huge'' impact. He believes one of the most important implications of this study is that men could reduce their risk for the condition even if they became active during middle age. The same was not true for those who waited until mid-life to quit smoking, lose weight or cut back on drinking. ``How much more do you need to make you get to the gym?'' Goldstein said. Exercise appears to ward off impotence for the same reasons it can prevent heart attacks, according to Goldstein. Both conditions involve poor blood flow to the organ, and exercise helps keep blood vessels clear. In fact, impotence can be an early warning sign of heart artery disease since the penis is more sensitive to slow-downs in blood flow than the heart is, Goldstein noted. Impotence affects about one quarter of American men by the age of 65, and there is no cure. It can be treated-most notably with Viagra--but preventing it in the first place should be the goal, Goldstein said. ``A Viagra pill is consumed every three seconds,'' he said. But, he added, ``if men exercise they'll have a lower chance of ever (becoming impotent.)'' Goldstein offered one caution, however: Avoid biking, since it may increase impotence risk. penile enlargement without pills penis enlagement patch penis elargement result pennis enlargement tool does penis enlargement work penis enargement pills penile enlargment pump prosolution penis enlargement pills enlargement forum free matter pennis size
Countless studies carried out over the world have found that for most men, they are dissatisfied with their penis size. Smaller sizes make us feel incompetent in the bedroom and our self esteem goes down hill. Thoughts of rejection in bed because we’re too small are also a common problem. So what most men end up asking themselves at some point is, is there a way to make myself any bigger? Well the purpose of this article is to separate the myths from the facts. Enlarging your penis can be a dangerous process, so it’s important that before you start to go down that road, you must understand the risks associated with it. For example, if you go in for surgery, and it goes wrong, you could end up a "woman" for the rest of your life, so it’s important to separate the myths from facts. First of all, I would like to start off by warning all readers that medical pills do not work. If you see a site popping up on your screen with a special herbal pill claiming to increase your penis size, it will not work. In the same way that drinking protein shake alone will not turn you into a bodybuilder, popping pill cannot make you penis significantly longer. Now let's go on to the more creditable (although still questionable) forms. The first type of enlargement process I’ll talk about is surgery. Like I said before, surgery is a risky business. There have been large amounts of complaints after the procedures, many resulting in disfigured penises. At least one person to date has died from bleeding after surgery. The two types of surgery available are lengthening and girth procedures. In both cases, the penis is cut open. For the lengthening, the suspensory ligament is cut, and plastic surgery is used to lengthen the penis. Yet in case’s involving this, men have complained that after surgery they see an increase in the flaccid length, but the overall erect length is still about the same, and that instead of pointing upwards, the penis drops to the floor. Why does this happen? Mainly because the suspensory ligament is the reason your penis points upwards, and cutting it will remove this function. The most common surgery to increase girth is to either have liposuction fat injected into your penis, or to have grafts of skin and fat from the buttock area placed within the penile shaft. While no long term results have been clarified from the second option, injecting fat into your penis has proved disappointing to most patients. This is because your body reabsorbs the fat over a period of time, resulting in the loss of your very expensive surgery. There are other consequences to take into account before penis surgery is considered, such as scrotalisation, where the penis appears to be attached to the scrotum instead of the abdominal wall. Another form of penis enlargement is the traction device. The very basic concept of this is that it slowly stretches your penis out over time. With the added pressure on your penis, cells are caused to divide and multiply to fill the gaps. Well quite a few experts have some concerns about the device. While it does increase length, there are risks associated with it that can be quite substantial. Putting pressure on your penis could cause something to break, like a blood vessel. Other concerns are that if it’s put on too tight, you’ll literally strangle the life out of it, restricting the blood flow, and ultimately causing damage. However these same experts admit that when used as directed, just like with anything, true results may be possible- but not without a strong commitment. Another way to enlarge your penis is through exercises. Of course criticisms have been made about these as its split pretty much 50/50 in the medical world as to whether these work. Some claim that there are no muscles in the penis to stretch, while others say that they work more like the traction device, but slower and with fewer risks. There are a wide variety of sites out there that offer penis enlargement skills, although some require you to pay them money. The only real risk with this form is whether it's effective. Will you be wasting your time for the next couple of months only to find nothings happened? As you can see, while penis enlargement is definitely on the wish list for most men, caution must be exercised to avoid unnecessary risk. And while there's no guarantee, countless antedotal evidence suggests that it is, in fact, possible. free penis enlagement vimax enlargement manhattan penis surgeon penis enlargment surgeon natural penis enhancement vimax penis enlargement surgery vig rx penis pill surgical penis elargement penis enlargment exercise enlargement forum free matter pennis size
Genital warts, which appear as small flesh-colored clusters or bumps of tissue, are the most common sexually transmitted disease in the U.S. In fact surveys conclude that at least half the sexually active male and female population may contract genital HPV. “HPV stands for Human Papillomavirus. This indicates that warts are a virus, and can exist in the skin even if no warts are visible to the naked eye. That means that the virus is contagious even when there are no symptoms. So be careful, and be sure to check for STD’s regularly when you visit your doctor for check-ups. This way, you won’t accidentally spread a virus to a loved one. Genital warts are generally found around the genital areas. In women they are found in the vagina, cervix or anus and on men they are found in the penis and anus. Genital warts may be passed on through vaginal, oral, or anal sex and research reveals that a pregnant woman can pass HPV on to her infant during vaginal delivery. There are more than 100 types of HPV and 30 of these are transmitted through sexual activity and are classified as high or low risk. The high-risk variety reportedly causes cell changes that may result in cervical cancer in those infected with the virus if left untreated for a long period of time. Low-risk HPV can cause genital warts, but not cervical cancer. Often, those infected with low-risk HPV are unaware they are infected since low-risk HPV may not present symptoms. penis enhancement secret truth about penis enlarement pills pro solution pill vimax penis enlargement result free penis elargement technique best penile enlargment surgery top rated pnis enlargement pills penis enhancement technique enlargement forum free matter pennis size
What Is An Orgasm In Women And Why All The Mystery? An orgasm is an emotional and physical experience that occurs during a “sexual response cycle”. Before an orgasm, the body becomes increasingly excited. Breathing, heart rate and blood pressure increases. The pupils of the eyes dilate; the lips of the mouth darken, the nipples become erect, the clitoris swells and becomes hard and exposed, (much like the aroused penis). With increased excitement, the skin becomes flushed and it begins to sweat. In women, the labia, clitoris, vagina and pelvic organs enlarge in very much the same way as the aroused penis enlarges. Sometimes there is a plateau of excitement that is held for several minutes before you are about to orgasm. Orgasm is the point at which all the tension is suddenly released in a series of involuntary and pleasurable muscular contractions that may be felt in the vagina and/or uterus (some women do experience orgasms without contractions). The orgasm happens when excitement seems to go over the edge; a climax or crescendo is reached which may last several seconds or longer. During orgasm the body stiffens and the muscles contract. Involuntary muscle contractions and spasms may occur in various parts of the body, including your legs, stomach, arms, and back. The muscles of the vagina relax and contract rapidly, as do the muscles of the uterus. The glands of the vagina (Bartholin's glands) discharge a watery secretion, which acts to lubricate the vagina. It is sometimes said to be the equivalent to the male ejaculation. The main physical changes that occur during a sexual experience are a result of vaso-congestion. This is the accumulation of blood in various parts of the body. Multiple Orgasms in Women It’s no secret that many women have multiple orgasms. Masters and Johnson documented this occurrence more than 25 years ago. But, do they serve a purpose besides from a pleasurable one? Theories suggest that muscular contractions associated with orgasms pull sperm from the vagina to the cervix, where it's in better position to reach the egg. Researchers believe that if a woman climaxes up until 45 minutes after her lover ejaculates, she will retain significantly more sperm than she does after non-orgasmic sex. Endorphins Orgasms cause a release of endorphins into one's spinal fluid. Endorphins are also somewhat responsible for the emotion of happiness, pleasure, calming effect and so on. The Endorphin Mystery Many researchers believe that strenuous exercise releases endorphins into the blood stream. Others agree that endorphins are released during orgasm, as well as during laughter. Endorphins are a group of substances formed within the body that naturally relieve pain. They actually have a similar chemical structure to morphine. In addition to their analgesic affect, endorphins are thought to be involved in controlling the body's response to stress, regulating contractions of the intestinal wall, and determining mood. They may also regulate the release of hormones from the pituitary gland, notably growth hormone and the gonadotropin hormone. It also seems that endorphin stimulation may occur with frequent sex and masturbation.. There is no evidence that too much sex (or exercise or laughter, for that matter) and consequential elevated levels of endorphins have any kind of endorphin depletion effect -- that is depletion of bodily endorphins, which could lead to depression. It is believed that endorphins are “recycled” by the body as are other brain chemicals. Currently, research being done to evaluate the full range of endorphins' functions in the body, especially how they relate to the prevention of illness and their beneficial affects in cancer and depressed patients. This is not a known fact at this time, but speculation by the medical community and a response to a reader's question from one of my websites. What's The Difference Between Clitoral and Vaginal Orgasms? The difference between a "clitoral" and a "vaginal" orgasm is where you are being stimulated to achieve orgasm, not where you feel the orgasm. This may clear up some of the confusion around this common question. The clitoris has a central role in elevating feelings of sexual tension. During sexual excitement, the clitoris swells and changes position. The blood vessels through the whole pelvic area also swell, causing engorgement and creating a feeling a fullness and sexual sensitivity. Your inner vaginal lips swell and change shape. Your vagina balloons upward, and your uterus shifts position in your pelvis. For some women, the outer third of their vagina and the cervix are also very sensitive or even more sensitive than the clitoris. When stimulated during intercourse or other vaginal penetration, these women do have intense orgasms. This would be what is referred to as a vaginal orgasm -- without clitoral stimulation. (Sigmund Freud made a pronouncement that the "mature" woman has orgasms only when her vagina, but not her clitoris, is stimulated). This of course, made the man's penis central to a woman's sexual satisfaction. In reality, orgasms are a very individual experience and there is no one correct pattern of sexual response. Whatever feels wonderful to you, makes you feel alive and happy, and connected with your partner is what matters. Enjoy!
